Come one come all too Melbourne's funkiest over 28s' group of like minded music enthusiasts. Join us in our journey through old school new school and much more at some of Melbourne's beautiful music venues...

This group aims to bring people together regardless of music taste for socializing, hanging out, making new friends/connections through passion of music. Music genres include Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Funk, Reggae, House, Afro Beats, Latin & Others. 

Sometimes, there will be music and non-music meetups/events/activities in order to serve everyone, some people don't like the noisy/busy environments such as the clubs/bars/open mics/festivals while some people do. Hence, other meetups will include quieter bars, cafes, restaurants, playing pool, dance classes, poetry, beach and more - some of these might be pre-meetups prior to meeting for the noisy/busy meetups. The chilled meetups or pre-meetups gives people a chance to chat and break the ice in a more conducive environment. Some of these meetups will be held during the daytime in/around the city and some suburbs. 

Members can also suggest events/venues as the group strives in expanding and being versatile to cater to everybody. Suggestions (not all) will be considered for planning/hosting but will depend on its relevance and appropriateness to the aims of Over 28's Melbourne Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Funk, Reggae, House, Afro Beats, Latin & Others.  

Members of the group should respect the privacy of other members by avoiding unsolicited messaging to other members without their consent. This is an offline group for socializing the old school way so you meetup offline with members at subsequent meetups.   

Please Note: Some events might be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances but will endeavor to come up with plan B ASAP if the need arises.
