Welcome to the Digital Leadership meetup.
Please also visit our website at : https://www.lead-digital.org/
Digital is at the core of the change and disruption that we are seeing in the marketplace and many enterprises at the moment. Whilst most groups are focusing on Agile adoption or the multi-variations of doing Scrum, we chose to widen our perspective and look at what is next. What leadership is required to manage the digital transition that businesses need?
Our perspective goes further than method application, we look at Strategy, Operations, Organisation Design and People/Leadership development. Those, we believe, are the essential components of successful digital leadership. Technology features as well but from a purposeful perspective of supporting the strategy or improving the operations.
Our meetup has been enjoyed by many participants over a year and the group has grown from strength to strength. The feedback from our visitors has consistently mentioned that we brought something different. People come to our meetup to anticipate and prepare themselves to what is next in the industry.
We are an inclusive group that values participation and involvement. We also have a Slack channel.

Audiences: The meet-up is addressing the management level of organisations looking to understand and develop their capabilities to support the digital evolution. It is also opened to all knowledge workers who want to take initiative and leadership in digital. Practitioners are also welcome to come, learn and contribute.
We are looking to expand the Organising team, and looking for sponsors, so please get in touch if you would like to get involved and/or have suggestions for speakers.
Code of Conduct
"Come and See, Ask Questions, Respect People"
We are slightly paraphrasing Mr Fujio Cho (Chairman of Toyota) in his description of Lean Leadership and Gemba. This sums up the essence of how a digital leader should think and behave.
All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our Digital Leadership meet-up are asked to agree and adopt this code of conduct. Our meet-up is aiming to drive us to be better with Digital Change. One of the foundations to achieve this is “being” the values rather than just “doing” a method. Respect for people is a fundamental value of leadership and it is therefore essential that we make this central to the value charter of this group.
Organisers will ensure that this code is lived by all during the events and off-line in-between events, so to make it an enjoyable experience for all. Lack of Respect is not promoting a collaborative and learning culture, and this would have no place in this meet-up. The basis of a learning culture is to explore the diversity of opinions and experiences. Diversity has to be embraced and any form of discrimination would be failing the core values and essence of this group.
Our meetup is, therefore, a place of harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of meetup participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any meetup venue, including talks, workshops, parties, twitter and other online media, during the meet-up or outside of it. Meetup participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the meetup without a refund at the discretion of the meetup organisers.
If anybody felt hurt or offended in any way as a result of presentations, participation or subscription to our group, we invite you to come forward to the organisers, by talking to us directly or dropping us a note from the Group page. If you know of somebody that felt hurt but is worried to come forward, it is also your duty to report it. All such matters would be taken seriously and handled accordingly. The meetup organisers will be happy to help participants contact appropriate venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the meet-up. We value your attendance.
We expect participants to follow these rules at all meetup venues and meetup-related social events.
