Wednesday Night Swing Dancing

Hello everyone! Swing Detroit holds weekly swing lessons and dances at Mr. B's Pub on Wednesday nights. We have an intermediate lesson at 6:30pm, a beginner lesson at 7:15, and open dancing at 8:00. See you there!

Anyone who wants to learn swing dance (the hottest dance of the 20s, 30s, and 40s!), and anyone who knows how to swing dance and wants to come enjoy a night of great music, company, and dancing, is welcome at our weekly swing nights! Singles, couples, and groups of all ages and talent levels are welcome - we alternate partners in the lessons, and everyone asks everyone else to dance!

We dance at Mr. B's Pub, 215 South Main Street in downtown Royal Oak, every Wednesday night. We start at 6:30pm with an hour-long intermediate lesson in various styles of swing dance (Lindy Hop, Blues, Charleston, etc). Then at 7:15 we have a beginner East Coast lesson. Then from 8:00-9:30pm we have music spun by our dedicated DJs (and then by karaoke singers!), drinks, dinner, socializing... and most importantly dancing!

Cover for the night is $5, plus another $5 if you do the 6:30 lesson.
