Welcome to the Latin Roots Edinburgh Salsa and Bachata Meetup!

Latin Roots is a community comprised of a good mix of dancers of all levels. We have dancers who started with no experience at all (including those who started our thinking that they had two left 😂), passing from intermediate dancers for whom dancing have become their go to when it comes to disconnect, exercise and socialise up to the advance dancers for whom dancing have become their passion, they are truly addicted!

We have members from all over the world, more than 25 countries! (🌎😮) and people of ages from 18 till 60+.

But what defines this community it´s not our differences but what bond us and brought us all together, the love for Latin dances and the Latin Rythms! ❤️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We organise weekly get together comprised of classes for all levels and social dancing afterwards (this is where you get to socialise and practice those moves you learned in class).

👉The classes are completely free for new comers regardless of your level and the socials are included.

We have classes for all levels, from absolute beginners to advance and we teach different styles: Salsa, Dominican bachata, sensual bachata, mambo and lady styling. 🕺💃🏻

Although the name of the Meetup is Edinburgh we organise special events and classes in different cites of Scotland.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

👀About Wellington and Magda the founders of Latin Roots Edinburgh.

It all started back in 2016 when two people with an immense passion for dance came together and decided to share it with as many people as possible.

We dreamed about creating a dance community for people who want to be part of a family of friendly and interesting people, knowing how to have fun through Latin Dancing and maybe even finding their best friend or love of their life! (This is how the founders met 😉)

Our mission is to bring people together and invite them to experience this Latin World, that is a world on its own. Imagine what it would be like to have your own world to go to, to relax from everything else that this crazy life offers us. For us that is the Latin Roots Experience and we hope it will be for you too.
