Bay Area Social (BAS) 40+ is a group for active people looking to expand their circle of friends and have fun along the way!
We understand that sometimes meeting new people can be nerve-wracking but will do everything we can to make you feel welcome and be a part of BAS 40+. Additionally we will do our best to organize events where the ratio of men and women is equal.
This group is not about numbers or how many people are in it ; it's rather having fun doing activities we enjoy together.

PROFILE PICTURE: In order to join the Bay Area Social (BAS 40+) group we require that you have have a recognizable photo of yourself as your profile picture. NOTE: Any picture where you are not recognizable i.e. a group photo, or pet photo, or any photo where it's not clear who you are is not acceptable. We require this because we are a a social group, and we want you to join in on the activities and its easier to spot you when we know who is coming to the events. If you aren't recognizable in your profile picture, then you are subject to removal and will have to request to rejoin the group with a valid photo.
AGE RANGE: Even though the group name is Bay Area Social 40+ (BAS 40+) you do not have to be 40 years old to join. Our members range in age from 21 to 80+. We are a social group of people including all ages of adults who enjoy exploring the unique locals we have here in the Bay Area - Peninsula region. Join us and explore cool events, night clubs, restaurants, museums, hiking adventures, house parties, etc. We LEVERAGE our group to receive discounts, obtain extended happy hours, and other great perks that most individuals cannot get.
RSVP - ATTENDANCE - CRASHING POLICY:
Some of our events have limited space which means not everyone can attend. If you sign up for an event and find that you can no longer go, please update your RSVP immediately. This helps your fellow members by allowing them to move up from the waitlist.
Last-minute cancellations are not tolerated and "no-shows" are unacceptable. Three (3) "no shows” will lead to your removal from the group. All our organizers and event hosts put a lot of effort in ensuring our events are fun and that they go as planned. Any assistance to help them with their efforts, such as keeping your attendance status current, is greatly appreciated. Repeatedly bailing out of events on the day they are scheduled can lead to being removed from the group.
