Before you join our group, please read our Meetup rules and policies.
I am inviting you to join our Escondido Spanish Meetup and practice Spanish. We will be meeting at different venues, and we will be learning Spanish, by attending film festivals, concerts, art festivals, discovering new eating spots, taking salsa lessons, traveling and much more! All levels are welcome. Come and bring your compadres and amig@s y hablemos español.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY
By attending the event you agree to NOT hold any of the named or anyone else associated with the event liable for any damage, loss, injury, or anything else you, your property, or your guests may sustain or incur by participating in, or attending this event or any related event.
RULES FOR GROUP EVENTS
Please take our trips seriously. Safety is extremely important to me and I want everyone to help me and help other members to stay safe. By attending our events you release any liability.
PROFILES AND PROFILE PICTURES
Your profile picture should be clear and of your face. This will help me recognize you at events. If you do not have a clear picture, I will drop you from the group.
ALWAYS CHECK OUR WEBSITE FOR ANY UPDATES
Read the information from each event carefully because the information can change. Also check your email for updates.
Always bring extra money to pay for these expenses. I will provide specific information in the event description or via email.
CARPOOLING AND OTHER TRANSPORTATION
We will be carpooling to most of our trips over the border. If the group is large, then we will need another volunteer to drive the rest of the group. Some events will run late. Crossing the border back to the US sometimes might take longer than expected. Please plan accordingly and be patient.
RSVP AND ATTENDANCE
Please be on time. Do not RSVP unless you are certain you can attend. Trips across the border need planning such as carpooling and other transportation planning.
PICTURES AT OUR MEETUP EVENTS
By attending group events, you are giving consent to have pictures taken. Note that in public places, there is no expectation of privacy.
Public intoxication can be a problem on some trips. Intoxication is highly inappropriate. Other inappropriate acts will not be tolerated.
BORDER CROSSING DOCUMENTS
Participants should have a current passport when crossing the border as it is required under Mexican law. At minimum, and if you are a US citizen, you should cross with a birth certificate and a driver's license or other type of government identification.
