Bit of Everything

The Upfront Info: A photo of your FACE (not a dog, flower, or any other meme that transfers from a Facebook profile) is required to join and must be maintained at all times.  It doesn't have to be close up and you can be wearing sunglasses, but Organisers must be able to recognise you at events, and you need to be able to recognise others. If this isn’t visible to the Organiser when you apply to join, you will be declined as there’s no resubmit button. You’ll have to start again. If you read the instructions you can save yourself being offended by this. 

Would you like to meet people to participate in fun events in and around Canberra? Perhaps you'd rather come to events that are more 'last minute' or newly listed?

You might be in the Movie Group, and in the Foodies Group (as are the organisers of BE) ... it's great that Canberra's population is big and diverse enough to support groups with a specific focus. But what about the odds and sods? That's where Bit of Everything comes in!

This group is only as active as the members in it, so whether you're RSVPing and turning up to events, or hosting, all contributions are welcome. (Dollar coins are appreciated too, as this helps to offset the $240 per year website fees)

If you don't see anything that appeals to you on the calendar, suggest it, or better still, offer to host it. As we have different tasks, we need more diversity on the calendar. You might find others who are interested in sporting events, trivia nights, social drinks, brunches and dinners (we do a few banquets: no hassles with working out what to have), day trips out of Canberra, and much much more. How about jelly wrestling, bird watching, frog counting, or country dancing? ;-)

Please note: if you don't update your 'yes' RSVP to 'no' before an event for which a table has been booked, you will be marked as a no-show. If you receive three 'no-shows', you will be removed from the group. This is to encourage respect for the organisers who volunteer their time to host events for all members to participate in.

To encourage an active group, it's a requirement of membership that you attend one event within a month of joining, and 3 events a year. If you don't visit the website or use the app for over a year you'll be removed (you can rejoin if you wish)
